Made from double-skinned steel with a fire retardent material sandwiched in the middle, this unique SSP floorboard safe is designed to be concealed from view within the floorboards or a cupboard.
Ideal for the safe storage of passports, money, valuables, bank statements and other documents up to A4 in size (297x210mm), this safe is made to withstand even the most aggressive of prolonged attacks. For increased security this floor safe also utilises high security double bit keys.

Our own test
When we first started supplying this now best selling floorboard safe our initial view was that the most secure thing about it is that no one knows its there. However, we have since had reason to revise this opinion....
When a relative of one of SSP's owners mislaid both keys we had the unenviable task of trying to get into this safe. Calling in an expert locksmith, it took him around 2 hours to make any progress at all. Although we won't reveal how it was finally opened we would like to give you all the assurance you need that this safe is as rugged and durable as most households will need it to be.
Installation
- Remove section of floorboard (see sizes below)
- Position safe between flooring joists within opening created
- Screws attach to joists from within the body of the safe, making it very difficult to remove without using the keys to open the lid in the first
