Tufnuts Removable Security Fixings

The Tufnut security nut is a unique removable nut. Due to its angled shape, when in place it is extremely difficult to grip with conventional tools. However, as shown in the attached datasheet, it easy to both install and remove using a second tufnut and standard wrench.
To affix, screw the first Tufnut onto your bolt or thread the right way up. Then put another Tufnut onto the thread upside down. Grip both nuts with an adjustable spanner or vice grips and turn both to secure. Finally remove the second Tufnut leaving the first one secured and tamper resistant.
Tufnuts are made in bright zinc plated (CR-3) steel and are hardened to make it more resilient to attack.
