This version of the Alert Point is designed to ensure that in the event of the access control system emergency override button being pressed a very audible alarm is raised.
This issue is a particular problem in educational establishments and public buildings where the security of the building can be accidentally or deliberately compromised by the pressing of the green override button and no alarm is raised.
The Alert Point in this configuration not only creates the alarm but is also capable of managing the associated magnetic locks.
Because Alert Point has its own independant battery power it can also be used to monitor the presence of power to the access control system's magnetic locks and sound the alarm if the power source is removed.
Once activated the Alert Point will emit a 100 dB alarm, an activation flag drops into view and the built in LED facility flashes red. The Alert Point can be easily reset with a special key, ensuring that the unit is quickly operational again.
