5 questions to ask yourself before you buy any security fixing

Q1.Will you ever need to remove the security screw or nut at a later date?
Advice: If yes, buy two-way screws or nuts. Look out for the two way icon.

Q2. If you are using a security fixing with other standard or security fixings, have you made sure they are made from the same metals?
Advice: Watch out! Different metal types can cause adverse reactions

Q3. How far do you need to tighten the screw or nut?
Advice: Every image shows a torque rating. This in effect is how far these can be tightened. The higher the rating, the greater pressure / force you can use when tightening it. For example, snake eye screws may look great but you may not be able to tighten them as far as you need to.

Q4. If you want a more secure fixing, have you considered using more than one style of screw, bolt or nut?
Advice: A mixture of say pin hex and pin torx screws can dramatically increase the level of security. This will certainly deter the opportunist.

Q5. Finally, when you are about to order any two-way screws or nuts, have you remembered to order the relevant driver insert or socket? You wouldn't be the first to forget!!
Advice: Most of these are shown alongside the product itself in related items.
