2.What did you think of the product? The book was actual as I expected. Although the hard backed folder was damaged you quickly replaced.
3.What did we get right? Everything apart from the folder. Although you said properly damaged in transit, I feel it was manufacture.
4.What could we improve? The folder could have been a little deeper, but not a problem for us as always open. Also as always open the printing of Company details on front cover is never seen, you may like to think about offering a small area for company details on each page.

1.What made you choose to buy these products from SSP? I could buy in small quantities other sites that I looked at only sold in larger pack sizes.

2.What did you think of the product? The product was good, perhaps not as secure as a wave nut that I was looking for but they are expensive and these should make it difficult for the casual thief.

3.What did we get right? good web site, very clear to a first time buyer like me who would have forgotten about the special tool required to fit/remove the nuts. Quick dispatch.

4.What could we improve? I never did get an automated paid invoice email, maybe a bug in the system that needs sorting (no it's not in my spam folder).

I looked online for a cover for the clock on the wall in our sports hall. I was very happy with your service from start to finish, The only complaint albeit a small one was that the clock guard could of been packaged differently, it was a bit bent in one area, but I understand that's not down to yourselves as such, but more so down to the courier.

As you know I had a bit of trouble with delivery to start with!  However, the second delivery arrived from DPD the next day.
Service was Good after the first one went missing.
Product: Stainless steel best product to use outside and with security feature.
Rating:  4.  I would definitely use SSP again.

I am a member of Friends of the Pepperpot Brighton and Friends of Queens Park Brighton.

We have an A1 interpretation board which is surface laminated to a 5mm hard plastic base and fixed  with 10 x 1 1/2 " pin hex button head screws to an external wooden door on the building.

In an area which suffers some vandalism it has stayed untampered with for 5 years and is as good as new. I have just ordered some more pin hex screws for signage and interpretation boards in the park.

It is also enables a relatively low cost solution.

Do I have to remove the break glass unit or button before installing this cover?
No. It is retro-fittable. In plain English this means it will fit over the top of your call point or push button. Simply drill four holes around the device, insert RAWL plugs provided and screw the cover into place. If there is any trunking or conduit (wires) going into the button or break glass, be sure to order the surface mounted version of this cover.

What is the difference between a flush mount and surface mounted cover?
Perhaps a little confusingly, flush or surface refers to the button or break glass unit itself. If the button is flush it is built into the wall. If it is surface mounted it is screwed on top of the wall. In essence if the button is inset within the wall it will not protrude that far, nor will it have wires going into the top of it. In this instance you will need a flush mounted cover.

What do the different colours mean?
The truth, the colour coding often ties with the colours of the buttons they are covering, particularly in the case of red and green.
Red covers should go over fire alarm call points. Green should go over break glass press to exit buttons. Yellow should go over emergency cut off or shut off buttons and blue is the generic catch all cover that can be used over anything.

Can I use this product in a sports hall?
This cover is made from 3mm thick shatter proof polycarbonate. It is incredibly tough and durable. It also has a curved shape to disperse the pressure of any significant impact across its entire surface. To give you a little reassurance, having been selling this product to sports halls and gyms for many years, we are pleased to say this has never been returned as being unsuitable for this environment.

Can I change the message on the cover?
Yes. Working with the space available we can pretty much show any message you require. However, please be aware that the lead time on doing this is around 5 days.

Can I take the message off?
Yes, easy. We can do it for you or you can do it yourself. All that is required is an Allen key to take the coloured plastic out of the top of this unit. You then would need to peel off the message and screw the plastic back into place. This process takes no more than a minute. if you like, SSP can do this at no extra cost.

Will I need to order an external cover if the button in question is outside?
If the button itself is water proof / weather resistant then in truth you may not need to. The only time you need the order an external cover is when the button or device being covered is not weather proof.

Can I silence the alarmed cover if it gets annoying or if I am doing maintenance work on the break glass or button underneath?
Yes, this covers comes with a silencer key that can be inserted as required. More silencer keys can be bought as required. The 9 volt battery also comes out if all else fails!

Do I have to plug the alarmed call point cover in?
No, the unit comes with its own 9 volt battery. Dependent on use this will last anything up to 3 years. By having a battery in place this unit is extremely easy to install and maintain.
