Many of our customers have bought or made signs that they now wish to put on a lamppost or sign post. Rather than completely remaking the sign with channelling riveted to the back, we have developed this simple solution.
Effectively, this kit allows you to affix an existing plastic, dibond or aluminium sign to a post.
The kit comprises of three elements:
Two shorts lengths of channelling with extra strong adhesive backing. Before affixing into position, make sure the rear of the sign is dry and clean. This channelling should be fixed to the rear of your sign and left to bond, ideally overnight. As you will receive two lengths of channelling for the top and bottom of the sign, make sure both pieces are in the centre of the sign and line up correctly (see pictures). If they are not in perfect alignment, your sign - when affixed to a post - may appear slightly lopsided.
Two pieces of banding. Being 600mm in length, these will fit almost any size or shape of post or bollard. If it’s a round post, it will fit if the diameter is no more than 191mm wide. This is then tightened into place using a standard flat blade screwdriver.
Two UCC clips. This simply joins the channelling (that is now stuck on the rear of your sign) to the banding that goes around a post.
As this video shows, the adhesive is very strong indeed. As long as the tape is given ample time to bond with the plastic or metal sign, this should safely hold any small-to-medium sized sign.
Delivery: Next working day if ordered before 4pm, Monday to Friday
