Simply peel the backing off the base and - as long as the surface is flat, dry and smooth - the adhesive will bond securely with the electrical panel, back-plate, cooker, hob, boiler or wall to hold it in place. Alternatively, this base could also be screwed down for greater security, although screws are not provided and this is not really recommended. Please note, great care should be taken should you decide to use screws.

To secure the dial or switch, simply place the cover over the top of the secured base and lock into place using either the combination padlock provided or a padlock of your own choosing.

How secure is it?
Most of our customers stick this cover down rather than screw it into position. As such, it could potentially be dislodged with force.

However, because it is usually on electrics or gas related equipment, most people are deterred from attempting to remove it.

Its main benefit is that it provides a visible barrier to say this dial, button or switch must not be tampered with.

When is it employed?
In homes where there may be one or more residents suffering from Alzheimer's or dementia. It is also proven to be effective in homes where the occupants are on the Autistic Spectrum.
