1.75 metre Steel Sign Post (76mm Road Sign Fixing Kit

We have created this sign post and fixing set to make buying a post for your road sign easy. When you buy this 1.75 metre post, you will be provided with both the cap for the end of the post and anti-rotational sign clips to attach your sign to the post. As long as your sign has channelling strips on the back (as shown in picture 3 right).

Anti-rotational clips
Unless your sign is very large indeed (with more than two strips of channelling on the rear) then the two clips that this set comes with will be perfect for attaching your sign. Indeed, as long as your sign has a channelling on the rear, the clips are very easy to fit. Simply run the right hand end (as shown in picture) of the clips down the two strips of channelling. The semi-circular part of the clip then goes around the post. To hold it in place simply use the nut and bolt supplied to affix the clip on the other side of the post. Once in place, the sign should not move or rotate.

Installation

• Ideally 30% of this sign post should be sunk into cement. With this signpost being 1.75m high, 0.5m should be installed below ground level. By doing this, 1.25m of the signpost will be visible above ground level.
• For the best finish, the 76mm cap is provided to prevent moisture and dirt from getting into the post
• To ensure the sign post is not easily turned, a base plate could also be used under concrete at foot of post, this can be purchased below
• To affix a sign to this post the 76mm anti-rotational clips provided in this kit will fit in standard signs channelling
