This popular locking cover initially designed to prevent those with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, special needs and children from tampering with dangerous plug sockets and switches.

This locking cover solves the following problems:

It is primarily designed to prevent any unauthorised or perhaps infirmed person from tampering with electrical sockets and plugs
It can also ensure essential appliances are not removed or stolen
It has been proven to protect sockets from vandalism and accidental damage
Finally, some customers use this to control costs by preventing unauthorised people using their electricity

Specifications

This robust cover is constructed from toughened, 3mm thick, shatter-proof polycarbonate, and has a strong, vandal-proof camlock
This cover is clear so you can see what is plugged in and if the switch is on or off.
It comes with suitable fixings so can simply attach it over the top of your existing plug sockets. No electrician needed.

Will this product work for me?
This versatile cover is designed to fit over any single electrical socket that is either wall mounted or set within the wall. It is however worth checking the external dimensions of the cover (below) to make sure you have enough wall space around your socket.

Supplied in two parts, this cover has a hole at the bottom of the curved section of the cover. This allows your plug lead to pass through it and then be locked onto the base frame provided.

The lead will run between the frame (which attaches to the wall) and the curved lockable cover. This means that plugs can be easily changed over time without the need to unscrew the whole cover from the wall.

Surface Mounted Socket?
If the socket you are covering is quite deep or perhaps has conduit wires in trunking going into the top or bottom of it, you may also need to purchase the spacer shown in the link below.
